A control path is the location where a server sends SCSI Medium Changer directives to control a specific logical library. There is no direct SCSI connection between the TS4500 tape library and a server. When a server connects with the library, it uses an LTO or 3592 tape drive to deliver the data. A control path has been established for the tape drive.
